Copyright registration is to formally register a tangible body of work (manuscript, screenplay, artwork, musical composition, etc.) already created, to control the use, duplication and publication of the work without the permission of the creator. Many people confuse the two terms. Ama Appiah launched a monthly-updated digital magazine designed as a limited resource guide for those in the entertainment and creative arts industries to find several areas of information in one location. It is also a helpful guide for those who like the arts but may not be in the industries.
Each issue provides updated content from internet searches on music and film festivals, book releases and writers’ conferences, art and photography exhibitions, and other areas of interest. There are also regularly featured sections of interviews of people who have obtained success in these industries, legal discussion of current cases and issues affecting creatives, meditations and methods creatives can use to help with focus and inspired creations, and listings for calls to artists and cast and crew open calls.
